'तारीख पर तारीख' इस डायलॉग को सुनते ही हमें 90 के दशक में आयी सुपरहिट फिल्म दामिनी की याद आजाती है। फिल्म में दामिनी (मीनाक्षी) अपने घर में काम करने वाली लड़की के साथ हुए रेप की चश्मदीद गवाह बन, अपने परिवार के खिलाफ जा उस रेप पीड़िता को इंसाफ दिलाती है। 

क्राइम थ्रिलर फिल्म मॉम साल 2017 में रिलीज हुई ब्लॉकबस्टर फिल्म थी, जिसकी कहानी में जानकी (श्रीदेवी) के बेटी, आर्या (सजल अली) के साथ वैलेंटाइन की पार्टी के बाद, गैंग रेप हो जाता है, जिसके बाद किस तरह एक माँ अपनी बच्ची के लिए लड़ती है और उसे इंसाफ दिलाती है यही इस फिल्म की कहानी में दिखाया गया है। 

माँ तो हमेशा ही अपने बच्चों के लिए ढाल बन खड़ी हो जाती है, लेकिन एक बाप अपनी बेटी के साथ हुए दुष्कर्म के बाद उसे इन्साफ दिलाने किस हद तक जा सकता है, यह इस फिल्म भूमि में दिखाया गया है। फिल्म में संजय दत्त और अदिति राव हैदरी, लीड रोल में नजर आये हैं।
